Ages and Stages

It is amazing how many different stages of child development we are experiencing right now.  We are celebrating with our 15 year old who just earned her driver's permit, learning 6th grade math (all over again) with our 11 year old, helping our 6 yr old learn how to read and playing tooth fairy to teeth that seem to come out every other day, rejoicing with our 2 yr old who is slowly overcoming his sensory issues along with speech and motor skill delays, and getting so excited over 3 new teeth that showed up all at once in our 10 month old's cute little mouth. You won't hear "Don't you miss it when the kids where _______???" in our family. Sometimes we can get in such a hurry-I can't wait until so and so stands, walks, goes to school, drives etc...  We are learning that happiness is in the moment you are currently experiencing, no matter how difficult that season may seem.  Each little event or change is a tiny treasure to tuck away in our memories.

I was praying for some snow...and it came!! Along with temps below 0 and windchills up to -20! It is amazing to me how the kids don't even seem to notice. So began a week of bundling up, unbundling, bundling up etc.
